Sg Engagement Shoot Location Hunt – Southern Ridges

As my heading goes.. 🙂

We’ve done a trial engagement shoot last March here in SG already, and it was fun. That fun, that we decided to have another one. But this time it’s for real!

So to coincide with my DIYs this month is the search for our locations and theme. I feel lucky that I have met Rae and Noel way back in Manila and know that we’ll be in good, talented and professional hands.

To kick off, I decided to search for the locations first.. And I told baby that we need to visit at least 3 prenup sites to decide. Guess what? He told me that in the end we’ll just go to 1 place cos I’ll be lazy! Hmmpt! Prove him he’s wrong!

Let’s start with..,

Southern Ridges

The Southern Ridges are a chain of green hills in the south of Singapore, stretching from Mount Faber through Telok Blangah Hill and Kent Ridge Park to Clementi Woods in the west.
Elevated boardwalks, bridges and trails connect the individual parks to create a green corridor full of fascinating animal and plant life and historical anecdotes. Henderson Waves, Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge, and numerous viewpoints along the trail offer scenic vistas of downtown Singapore, the harbour and the islands in the south of the city-state.

How to get to the Southern Ridges:

For the sake of simplicity, only the starting points of the tour are described here. Details on additional points of access can be obtained from the websites listed below.

Meeting place Hortpark: (see map)
At HortCentre. Hortpark is served by bus numbers 51, 61, 93, 97, 100, 166, 963. The bus stop is located right next to the Alexandra Arch; from there it’s about five minutes walk to the HortCentre.

Meeting place Harbourfront: (see map)

So Southern Bridges actually starts from Harbourfront station to Kent Ridge Park. Popular sites would be the Hort Park, Alexandra Arch, Henderson Waves. It will lead you to Marang Trail which will eventually lead you to the cable cars at Mt Faber.
